Música: Katie Melua - "If the lights go out"

Hola, hoy os hablaré de Katie Melua y os pondré una letra de una canción que me gusta mucho (a pesar de no estar en su CD de singles).

Esta chica es georgiana, pero nacionalizada británica. Fue descubierta por el compositor Mike Batt a temprana edad. Mike Butt junto a ella componen las inmensa mayoría de sus canciones.

Respecto a su éxito, como no, en España poco se sabe de ella. En Reino Unido, Alemania, Suiza, por ejemplo obtuvo discos de oro y platino con todos sus albums.

El estilo de Katie es una mezcla de Jazz, Blues y (según wikipedia) Folk-pop. Ella toca diversos instrumentos, como se ve en sus directos, son principalmente la guitarra y el piano.

Yo la he descubierto gracias a que un día vi VH1 y pusieron el video de Nine Million Bicycles. Me llamó la atención el video y me encantó la canción. A partir de ahí tengo que decir que me descargué los discos de ella para escuchar qué tal eran, y como me encantaron los fui comprando.
